Product overview

Tert-butanol, also known as trimethylmethanol or 2-methyl-2-propanol. Tert-butanol is a colorless crystalline solid, and in the presence of a small amount of water, it becomes a colorless volatile liquid with a camphor-like odor. It is hygroscopic, flammable, and compared to other alcohols, it has higher toxicity and anesthetic properties. Tert-butanol is soluble in most organic solvents such as alcohols, esters, ketones, aromatic, and aliphatic hydrocarbons, making it one of the widely used petrochemical products.
